You’ll marvel at the dizzying spires of La Sagrada Familia basilica, while your local guide describes the rich symbolism behind the dazzling façades, and the many stories and secrets they hide.

Also in Barcelona’s bustling city centre, you’ll visit the colourful Casa Batllo, known as ‘The House of Bones’ for its marine-like skeletal features; plus the curvaceous Casa Mila, known as ‘The Quarry’ thanks to its snaking stone façade. These two Gaudi mansions line the regal Passeig de Gracia, and your guide will explain the mythology, religion and nature behind their unique designs.

Many of Barcelona’s very best treasures are located in the leafy surroundings of Montjuic hill. Thanks to our fleet of brand new Italian e-bikes, climbing this coastal rise is a breeze and we’ll visit the likes of the Olympic Stadium, the Calatrava Tower, Joan Miro Foundation, Montjuic National Palace and Magic Fountain – and stop to take stunning panoramic photos over the entire city!

Once we’ve enjoyed cycling over Montjuic’s leafy, winding roads, there’s still time to pedal up the palm tree-lined promenade of Barceloneta beach, right up to the gleaming sail-shaped W-Hotel. Here we can soak up the city’s summer vibe and enjoy great views back across its sun-kissed coastline.

As we return to the centre of town, we will stop at two more of Gaudi’s legendary creations: Casa Mila and Casa Batllo, both on the Passeig de Gracia. We will unpack their façades to reveal Gaudi’s proud Christian and Catalan identity.
