The itinerary of the trip will be:

Day One – Arrival and Barcelona

Barcelona is the Capital of Catalunya and offers interesting, intriguing, and awe-inspiring spots for everyone. Visitors can enter museums, admire the wonderful creations of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí like the Sagrada Familia and Parc Guell or simply wander through tiny alleys and large boulevards alike to arrive at the port and the beach. Included in this leg of the tour is one night stay at a hotel and a ticket for the extremely popular Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus.

Day Two – Costa Brava

Leave the big city behind and head up the Costa Brava to Tossa de Mar. Tossa De Mar is a small medieval town where visitors can relax on the beach or walk around and admire the buildings that date back to the 12th century. Included in the offer is a walking tour, where you will see the main historical sights of Tossa and a guide will tell tantalizing stories and tales of the medieval period in Spain. Later, take the bus to Girona to spend the night and explore another medieval hub. In Girona, walk through the Jewish Quarter, visit the Cathedral that has the second biggest nace in the world, or cross the river atop the Eiffel Bridge. Included in the tour is an one night stay in Girona in a hotel and a walking tour.

Day Three – Northern Catalonia

In the morning, a visit to Salvador Dalí’s museum in the city of Figueres is included. Then, head to the medieval town of Besalú, nestled in the Pyrenee mountain range. When walking through Besalú one might think that they have travelled back to the medieval era, featuring the 12th-century Romanesque bridge over the Fluvià river. You will have a walking tour to visit the main parts of the small city included on this leg. To spend the night you will head to Vic, where you can enjoy delicious local food and admire Vic’s nature and architecture. Set among emerald green hills, in Vic you can really get a sense of small town life. Included in this leg is one night in a hotel in Vic and a walking tour through the city.

Day Four – Southern Catalonia

Head out from mountainous Vic to the warm southern coast, or Costa Dorada, of Catalunya. Here, in the wonderful beachside city of Tarragona, you can find ancient Roman ruins, like an aqueduct and one of the most well preserved amphitheaters left in Europe. Blue skies, beautiful flora, stellar gastronomy, and warm locals are all things to expect during your time in Tarragona. Included in this leg is one night of accomodation plus a walking tour given by a local guide who will show you all of the charm Tarragona has to offer.

Day Five – Sant Sadurni and Barcelona

On the last day of your Catalan journey, head back to Barcelona making a pit stop at Cavas Freixenet. The most renoud cava winery coming from Catalunya, Freixenet is Spain’s leading cava producer that offers a variety of tours, visits, and tastings for its guests. If you want, you can get a tour through the underground cellars of the winery and taste the cava made by Freixenet or you can do a wine tasting with chocolate or cheese.
