Barcelona Summer Festival (El Grec)
The Barcelona Summer Festival is known also known as El Grec festival since most of its events take place in the Teatre Grec. This old greek amphitheatre on Montjuic is the epicentre of the festival.
Every year, more than 100,000 spectators come to see one of the more than 60 events.
El Grec summer festival features artists from theatre, music, dance and circus.
Apart of the greek open air theatre another hot spot for music events will be Plaça del Rei in Barrio Gotico (not to be confused with Plaça Reial).

Dates: Every year from mid June to the end of July.
Admission: Prices vary strongly depending on your chosen event. There are no whole festival passes due to the large number of more than 60 different events in the festival.
How to get to El Grec Summer Festival?
Always check the location of your particular event first. Most artists will be on stage in Teatre Grec on Montjuic.
To get there by metro take the green line L3 to Poble Sec. Walk up Carrer de Radas towards Montjuic. In the end, after 400 metres, turn right into Passeig de l’Exposició and Teatre Grec will be after another 200 metres on your left hand side.
